Mr Mojo Relaxing
This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again

I'm looking for a hard headed woman
"I'm looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will take me for myself,
And if I find my hard headed woman,
I won't need nobody else, no, no, no." - (Cats Stevens)
No, this is not Cats Stevens but he reminded me of him.

No Future But Dead
“To hang on from day to day and from week to week, spinning out a present that had no future, seemed an unconquerable instinct, just as one’s lungs will always draw the next breath so long as there is air available.” -- George Orwell, 1984
i wanted to depict a sense of WWI atmosphere... i must have been thinking of one of the Pink Floyd songs in their The Wall album...

Mother, don't go
Children, don't do what I have done,
I couldn't walk and I tried to run,
So I got to tell you,
Goodbye, goodbye.

So I got to tell you,
Goodbye, goodbye.

Mother's Day, Canon Rebel 2000, CVS iso 100 35 film, Lensbaby Composer Double Optic f4, i rotated the original image to give it a sense of loftiness... the background is a poplar -- the leaves have already turned yellow during the fall season...

Parallel Worlds
i think i shot this when i was just getting to know my holga's temperament... the holga was not designed to fire on 35mm film so i didn't know how far to advance the film since I had to cover the film counter screen -- otherwise the 35mm film would get exposed unnecessarily... you don't get that problem obviously when using the 120 roll as it has a paper backing where you can read which part of the roll you've been... so i think if i remember correctly the overlay was not intentional... it does seem to provide a nice segue though... i would credit the happy accident monster for this...
the weird colors are the effect of cross processing the fujifcolorfilm sensia 200 on c-41.. thanks for looking...
the case of the disappearing b...
... dying
i think i was contemplating into combining the images into a triptych but somehow the merging images looked much better as i was dabbling... this is one of my fave -- i log in a lot of hours putting it all together... funny but the ones i really like usually don't get as much hits as the ones i didn't spend much time on... it is what it is... cheers

Fixing a Hole
This is the analog version using the Diana F+ pinhole. It's the same idea I started with the Lensbaby zone plate mounted on my canon DLSR. See digital hole at flickr.

Show me the way to go home
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it went right to my head
Where ever I may roam
On land or sea or foam
You will always hear me singing this song
Show me the way to go home
[irving king]
basically, the environment required long exposure so i placed the camera on a tripod and locked the camera on B setting... i exposed the first half without me (probably for 20 secs) and then i ran to the stairs for the second half of the exposure (maybe another 20 secs) and then ran back to the camera to release the B setting... in the traditional sense it's not really multi-exposure since the lens was opened during the entire time...
i used the stairs here thinking that it would be a great background but because of the ghost effect the symmetry would be somewhat transparent...
