Shapes of Things in New York

 I believe this was captured on Jackson Street at Long Island City.  I really like taking pictures with the setting I used on my Fujifilm X100F.  The secret ingredient is the White Balance.  Fo this one, I set the temperature to 10,000 K.  The rest of the settings are pretty much preferential.  Here's my recipe:

Film Simulation - Chrome, Grain Effect - weak, Dynamic Range - 400 iso, Highlight Tone - +3, Shadow tone - +3, Color - 0, Sharpness - +1, Noise Reduction - 0, Long Exposure NR - Off, Color Space - sRGB, WB - 10,000 K.

Inspiration for the Jeep Wrangler

 

Cool Dude on the street was the inspiration for the new model of Jeep Wrangler.  It feels like I hired both of them  to capture the image.  It would have been an expensive photograph but the opportunity just landed on my lap - so to speak.  

Southern Comfort

 

This kind of architecture is common in the Victorian District of Savanah, Georgia.  Some of these Victorian homes date back to the 1800s.  Prominent features on the two-story frame homes include turrets, towers, bay windows, decorative trim and whimsical colors.

Time Must Have a Stop

 

My mind is so busy thinking about values that I don't have time to experience them. (Aldous Huxley, Time Must Have a Stop)

I dig the books of Aldous Huxley.  The book I quoted here has influenced me a lot in my younger years.  That along with Brave New World.  Also there is something about clocks that I just love to photograph.  Before Covid, Rose and I would travel in Europe and each city that we step on I would document with the camera.  Well that practice is in hiatus because of woke travel restrictions.

Little Barn in Central Texas

 Texans are proud of their state.  The Lone Star Flag is conspicuous in many places including this barn here.  I spoke to the owner and he said that he built the barn from old wooden fences.  He talked about the house as though it was his baby.  Indeed a paragon of a proud Texan.
