lmperfect Solitude

I was feeling melancholic when I happen to read George Orwell’s 1984, “To hang on from day to day and from week to week, spinning out a present that had no future, seemed an unconquerable instinct, just as one’s lungs will always draw the next breath so long as there is air available.” Sorry, this is my state of mind right now.

Here are my latest exploits in black and white, self-developed, using pinhole plastic camera. I don’t usually do landscape because there are so much images out there that are far superior. And I’m always thinking, what am I trying to convey here? It does not come easy. I’m more into abstraction than realism.
The first was taken one morning at the cafeteria. It’s more of a still life than landscape but I was enjoying my quiet time in solitude and I saw the tree silhouette outside. I guess I can pass it as landscape. The rest were taken during one lunch break (I have to get out of here that day or I would go insane). These were captured at Sycamore Park-- just a couple of miles from the Diamond Bar office – doesn’t look like the images are local, huh? Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we don’t have to look far to see God’s handiwork. Hope you enjoy.
