Stephen Stills 2 - CHANGE PARTNERS (vinyl / lyrics below)

All of the ladies attending the ball

Are requested to gaze

In the faces found on the dance cards

Please then remember and don't get too close

To one special one

He will take your defenses and run

So we change partners

Time to change partners

You must change partners

Again

This is how most of our ladies grew up

At the country club dances

They learned how to handle the boys

Gently but firmly, they learned to say no

There were four more young men

Who were waiting in the color and the noise

So we change partners

Time to change partners

You must change partners

Again

All of the ladies attending the ball

Are requested to gaze

In the faces found on the dance cards

Please then remember and follow your list

Cause the dear things get hurt

And the broken hearts make you feel hard

Stephen Stills 2 is the second solo album by Stephen Stills, released on Atlantic Records in 1971. It peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200 and was certified as a gold record by the RIAA. Two singles were released from the album, both just missing the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: "Change Partners" peaked at number 43.

Stills said "it was about growing up in the south, attending the debutante balls, but Graham likes to refer to it as the Crosby, Stills & Nash theme song, which I suppose it is". Graham Nash has said he feels it's about the constantly changing relationships in CSNY. Jerry Garcia performs the pedal steel guitar played throughout the song.

I do not own the copyright to the music, the recording and the photos.  This video is posted for educational use under Section 17 U.S. Code § 107. Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use.All posts in this channel are rendered in old school using restored vinyl LPs.  Unless noted, this channel does not use recordings from CDs.  As much as possible, I attempted to remove most of the pops and crackles from the original vinyl album.  Some remastering was applied to make the performance cut through within the confines of  the loudness wars.

Hope you enjoy.
