Charles Mingus - Just for Laughs (restored 1977 jazz vinyl LP)

"Beware of no man more than of yourself; we carry our worst enemies within us." - Charles Spurgeon From the vinyl album Music of Charles Mingus Baritone Saxophone – Gerry Mulligan Bass – Charles Mingus Drums – Dannie Richmond French Horn – Peter Matt Piano – Bob Neloms Tenor Saxophone – Paul Jeffrey, Ricky Ford Trumpet – Jack Walrath, Woody Shaw Vibraphone – Lionel Hampton Recorded November 6, 1977 New York City Charles Mingus Jr. (April 22, 1922 – January 5, 1979) was an American jazz double bassist, pianist, composer and bandleader. A major proponent of collective improvisation, he is considered to be one of the greatest jazz musicians and composers in history, with a career spanning three decades and collaborations with other jazz legends such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Dannie Richmond, and Herbie Hancock. I do not own the copyright to the music, the recording and the photos. (Image post and video art were appropriated from the original album.) This video is posted for educational use under Section 17 U.S. Code § 107. Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use. As much as possible, I attempted to remove most of the pops and crackles from the original vinyl album. Hope you enjoy. INXDS. #bebop #jazz #vinylrecord #quoteoftheday
