Honoring the Cat King
Yesterday, I wrote about the cats in Kotor. Shown here is one of the pilgrims paying tribute to Diocletian, the king of Catmandu 2nd District, third generation of Figaro the Musical Emancipator. Legend has it that Figaro played a magic flute, which lured the rats. They were eventually vanquished from the city and sent to Alaska where they grew huge and became known as Canadian Moose.
